RSC Tennis Academy organized a two-day VIP Cup Tennis Tournament at the VIP Club in Raipur. The tournament featured 35 plus men’s and women’s singles as well as doubles events along with 50 plus men and women’s singles and doubles categories. Special attraction of the event was the women’s singles final held for the first time in the tournament. In the women’s singles final, Komal Jain defeated Dr Nisha Ranglani 5-1 to clinch the title while Madhavi Nathani finished in third place. In the 35 plus men’s singles final, Henry Santiago defeated Anshul Puri of Surguja 7-4 to clinch the title.

 

Similarly in the 35+ men’s doubles final, Jagdalpur pair of Thomas Philip and Joginder Pal Singh emerged winners after a hard-fought 7-5 victory over Kunal Chalisgaonkar and Rahul also from Jagdalpur. Sunil Surana defeated Prabhat Pattavi 7-2 to win the 50 plus singles title. In the 50 plus doubles final, the pair of Sunil Surana and Pradeep Mathani defeated Amarjeet Singh Chaddha and Arvinder Singh 7-3 to claim the championship. The winners and semifinalists of all categories were felicitated by Vice President of Chhattisgarh Tennis Association Rupendra Chauhan and Sunil Surana, Executive Member Pradeep Mathani, senior player Amarjeet Chaddha and Thomas Philip.
