Union Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways Ajay Tamta, while addressing ‘Vyapar Evam Udhog Samvad Karyakram’ (trade and industry interaction programme) at the party’s divisional office on Sunday, said, Union Budget 2026-27 is fully inclusive and presents a clear roadmap for India’s economic strength, infrastructure expansion and future technologies.
The Minister said that the Budget reflects the aspirations of the people and fits with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
Tamta said the budget has been prepared in the spirit of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ and ensures opportunities and resources for every family, community and section of society. He said the budget includes major announcements for key sectors such as textiles, infrastructure, agriculture, services and education, while also focusing on emerging areas like content creation, tourism and artificial intelligence to meet future needs.
He said that under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, India has emerged as the world’s fourth largest economy and is moving rapidly towards becoming the third largest by 2027. India has remained the fastest growing major economy in the world over the past four years, he added.
Highlighting major economic indicators, the Minister said India’s GDP has grown from USD 2 trillion to USD 4.3 trillion over the past decade. Inflation between April and December has remained at just 1.7 per cent, among the lowest globally. Fiscal deficit has been contained at 4.4 per cent, with a target of reducing it further to 4.3 per cent next year. Infrastructure investment has increased significantly from Rs 2 lakh crore in 2014 to Rs 12 lakh crore at present, he said.
State PWD Minister Rakesh Singh presided over the programme. BJP District President Ratnesh Sonkar, State Treasurer Akhilesh Jain and other party leaders were also present.
