RAIPUR :
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Laxmi Verma and Congress candidate Phulodevi Netam, the incumbent Rajya Sabha member, were elected unopposed to the Rajya Sabha from Chhattisgarh.
Both received their election certificates from Returning Officer Manish Sharma at the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar on Monday.
The biennial elections filled two vacancies created by the retirement of Congress members Kavi Tejpal Singh Tulsi and Phulodevi Netam, whose six-year terms end in April 2026. Only the two candidates filed nominations, both of which were validated after scrutiny. Returning Officer Manish Sharma formally declared the unopposed results on Monday.
