Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav, on Tuesday, approved a series of key decisions. The Cabinet cleared Rs 33,240 crore to continue major programmes across seven departments for the next five years. The meeting also included congratulating two candidates from Madhya Pradesh who secured ranks in the top-10 of the IAS examination, recognising their achievement. Bonus announced for wheat and urad farmers: In a significant move for farmers, the State Government decided to procure wheat at Rs 2,625 per quintal, adding a Rs 40 bonus over the minimum support price of Rs 2,585 per quintal fixed by the Government of India. The Cabinet also approved a bonus of Rs 600 per quintal on urad, aimed at encouraging pulse cultivation and improving farmers’ incomes. Stamp duty waiver under Swamitva Scheme: The Government also took a major step under the Svamitva Scheme, identifying around 46 lakh families who currently do not have ownership documents for their properties. The Cabinet decided that stamp duty will be waived for the registration of these properties, a move expected to benefit millions of rural households. The decision is estimated to place a financial burden of about Rs 3,000 crore on the State Government.
 
Young Interns for Good Governance Programme:
 
The Cabinet approved the Chief Minister Young Interns for Good Governance Programme, which will run for three years with an estimated outlay of Rs 190 crore. Under the programme, 15 youth from every block of the state will be selected as interns for a one-year contractual assignment. Nearly 4,860 interns will work with the Government to monitor the implementation of schemes and collect digital data related to development programmes. The selection process will be conducted by the Atal Behari Vajpayee Institute of Good Governance and Policy Analysis. Push for entrepreneurship and local products: The Cabinet also approved the One District One Product initiative for seven districts to promote traditional crafts and local industries. The project will receive Rs 37.5 crore over five years to support artisans through training, branding, marketing and digital platforms. Products identified include carpets from Sidhi, jaggery from Datia, Chanderi handloom from Ashoknagar, zari-zardozi and jute products from Bhopal, Bag print from Dhar, wooden toys from Sehore and batik print from Ujjain.
 
Health facilities and judicial posts approved:
 
The Cabinet cleared the opening of three ESIC dispensaries in Maihar, Kymore (Katni) and Nimrani (Khargone), along with the creation of 51 posts for doctors and paramedical staff. It also approved the creation of seven posts, including a Junior Civil Judge, for establishing a new civil court in Chitrangi in Singrauli district. Investments in development and welfare schemes: Several departments received funding approvals for continuing programmes till 2031. These include: nRs 11,361 crore for MSME incentives and start-up promotion nRs 7,127 crore for Panchayat and rural development schemes nRs 6,090 crore for rural infrastructure and drinking water projects in mining and backward areas nRs 3,773 crore for women and child development programmes nRs 2,064 crore for planning and economic statistics schemes nRs 1,645 crore for tribal development and post-matric scholarships Additionally, funds were approved to strengthen power distribution infrastructure under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme. Tourism boost for Pachmarhi: The Cabinet also noted that Pachmarhi has received Green Destination certification from Germany, a development expected to boost eco-tourism in the State.
