Collector Raghvendra Singh reviewed availability and distribution of LPG gas in the district in compliance with the directives of the Madhya Pradesh Government during a meeting of Food Department officials.
During the meeting, the Collector instructed officials to give top priority to the interests of domestic LPG consumers while ensuring smooth supply and distribution. He clarified that the district currently has adequate stock of petrol, diesel and domestic LPG and that the administration is closely monitoring the distribution system.
Collector Raghvendra Singhsaid that LPG supply will primarily be reserved for domestic use.
Under the new arrangement, booking for a refill of domestic LPG cylinders will be accepted only after 25 days have passed since the last delivery.
The move aims to prevent black-marketing and unnecessary panic among consumers, ensuring that every household receives LPG cylinders without disruption.
He further stated that, except for essential services such as hospitals and educational institutions, commercial LPG supply will not be provided to other commercial establishments such as hotels, malls or industrial units for the time being.
The district administration is continuously reviewing stock levels to ensure that the distribution system functions smoothly. Officials also warned that strict legal action will be taken against anyone found involved in hoarding or black-marketing of LPG cylinders.
