ONE of the most vibrant exhibitions has started in the city, showcasing traditional arts at the ‘Hast Shilp Hathkargha Mela’ - Mrignayanee Madhya Pradesh Handicraft Exhibition organised by the Madhya Pradesh Handicrafts and Handloom Development Corporation.
The grand exhibition-cum-sale is underway at the Vidarbha Hindi Sahitya Sammelan, Mor Bhavan in Sitabuldi, from March 10 to 19.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Aastha Godbole Karlekar assumed charge as the Director of the South Central Zone Cultural Centre (SCZCC), Nagpur on Tuesday.
From inception the exhibition is getting an overwhelming response from the Nagpurians.
The expo features an exquisite collection of artistic goods including Chandari silk sarees and traditional handloon items, directly from the weavers. About 45 to 50 artisans are participating in the expo. The expo will remain open from 12 noon to 9 pm and entry and parking facility will be free for the visitors.
