CHIEF Minister Mohan Yadav on Wednesday asserted that Madhya Pradesh is the only State where daughters are revered from birth throughout their lives. Addressing the Women Empowerment Summit-cum-Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony in Hatta, Damoh district, Yadav emphasized the State Government’s unwavering commitment to the holistic development of women. During the event, the Chief Minister performed the ‘Bhoomi-Pujan’ of 13 developmental projects worth over Rs 405.58 crore through a single click. Significant projects include the Rs 232 crore upgrade of the Hatta-Gaisabad-Simariya road into a two-lane highway and several other road constructions connecting remote areas like Madiyado and Rajpura. Major announcements for Hatta, Damoh In a move that fulfilled a long-standing local demand, the Chief Minister announced that Hatta will henceforth be known as ‘Shivkashi’, honoring the city’s spiritual connection with Lord Gauri-Shankar. He also announced several infrastructural upgrades for the region, including the construction of a new ITI building, a state-of-the-art Municipal Corporation building, and the establishment of a grand ‘Gita Bhavan’.Furthermore, he announced that Agriculture, Horticulture, and Animal Husbandry faculties will be introduced at the local college to expand educational opportunities.
 
Other highlights include an indoor auditorium at the MLB PM-Shri School, a new degree college in Patera, and Higher Secondary school buildings in Madiyado and Devri Fatehpur. Focus on health, empowerment Highlighting health initiatives, Yadav handed over certificates to eight young girls who received the HPV (Human Papillomavirus) vaccine to prevent cervical cancer. He urged mothers to ensure their daughters above 14 years of age get vaccinated, calling the vaccine a “shield for their future. Schemes like Ladli Laxmi have significantly improved the sex ratio in the state and brought a positive shift in social perception towards daughters,” Yadav stated. He also mentioned the Ladli Behna Yojana, through which over 1.25 crore women receive monthly financial assistance of Rs 1,500. He further noted that the upcoming 33% reservation for women in legislative bodies would further bolster their self-reliance. Discussing the agrarian economy, the Chief Minister said that the Ken-Betwa River Link Project under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi would ensure irrigation for every field in Bundelkhand, preventing migration for employment. He noted that the state’s irrigation potential has reached 55 lakh hectares, including an increase of 10 lakh hectares in just the last two years. The summit was attended by prominent figures including Minister Inder Singh Parmar, State Ministers Dharmendra Singh Lodhi and Lakhan Patel, Hatta MLA Umadevi Khatik, and other senior administrative and police officials.
