senior officials of Madhya Pradesh Electricity Employee Federation met Manjeet Singh, Managing Director, MP Power Generating Company (MPPGCL), to discuss ongoing expansion of employee welfare programs and the enhancement of the corporate cashless insurance scheme.
During the meeting, also attended by Director (Commercial) Milind Bhandarkar, Managing Director, Manjeet Singh reaffirmed the commitment of the Energy Department and MPPGCL toward the well-being of all employee cadres and pensioners.
The Managing Director informed about the recently approved new Organization Structure (OS) by the state government and Energy Department to meet evolving operational requirements.
In form of Cashless Insurance Scheme, implementation of a medical insurance policy designed to provide seamless healthcare access, then continuous efforts are underway to empanel high-quality medical institutions to ensure beneficiaries receive superior treatment.
The administration recently authorized updated fringe benefits and performance-based incentives for the workforce after a significant duration.
Rakesh DP Pathak, Federation’s General Secretary, acknowledged the pivotal role played by MD Singh in establishing the cashless insurance framework across the power companies.
However, to ensure the scheme’s efficacy reaches every level of the organization, the Federation requested to provide an additional opportunity for employees and pensioners who have yet to join the insurance scheme to submit their applications, to expand the network to include premier hospitals across India to facilitate advanced specialized care.
The Federation also demanded to implement provisions for reimbursement in emergency cases at non-empanelled hospitals and addressing cost differentials for high-end treatments and to enhance the promotion of the scheme’s benefits.
