From the energetic ‘Pink Marathon’ hosted by the Municipal Corporation to various prestigious award ceremonies, the city honored women’s achievements in leadership, health, and social service, reaffirming a collective commitment to gender equality.
Rajput Seva Manch & Central Jail
Rajput Seva Manch:
President Rashmi Bais opened the celebration, where senior life members Pratibha Gahlod and Pramila Gautam were honoured. Bais was felicitated with a shawl and shrifal. Saroj Gour discussed maternal roles in education, while Dr Parvati Verma and Dr Gunjan Singh addressed women’s health. Attendees included Rajni Sengar, Ekta Gaharwar, and others.
Nagpur Central Jail
NAGPUR Central Jail marked the day with cultural programmes under the guidance of ADG Suhas Warke and Special IG Yogesh Desai. Inmates presented singing and dance performances. Superintendent Vaibhav Age and Additional Superintendent Deepa Age addressed the gathering.
Lions Club of Nagpur Noble
THE Lions Club of Nagpur Noble marked the World Hearing Week and InternationalWomen’sDay. The event was attended by chief guest Amruta Fadnavis and District Governor Bharat Bhalgat. Several women achievers in medicine and social service were felicitated. Psychiatrist Dr Sonakshi Jyrwa delivered a talk on women’s mental health.
