The city witnessed a lively display of unity and harmony as thousands of people participated in the ‘Samrasta Holi’ celebrations organised by Samrasta Seva Sangathan on the occasion of Rang Panchami. With participation from more than 100 social and community organisations, the event turned into a grand celebration of social harmony. The colourful Samrang Shobha Yatra began from Shri Kalehi Mata Temple at Gopal Bagh and concluded at the D N Jain College ground, where cultural programmes and Holi celebrations were held. The procession passed through several areas including Chhota Fuhara, Miloniganj, Tamrahi, Kotwali, Sarafa, Kamania Gate, Lordganj and Super Bazaar before reaching the venue. The procession began with prayers at the temple and was held in the presence of several saints and religious leaders, who blessed the gathering and greeted devotees from decorated chariots.

Throughout the route, more than 60 welcome stages were set up by social, cultural and trader organisations, where participants were greeted with flowers and gulal. Over a dozen tableaux highlighting themes such as social harmony, environmental protection, cleanliness and traditional Holi celebrations of Braj and Vrindavan attracted attention. Musical groups, band performances, Punjabi dhol, folk dance troupes and kirtan mandalis added colour to the event. At the D N Jain College ground, participants celebrated Holi with flowers and herbal gulal while enjoying traditional folk performances like Rai and Phag. Various community groups also set up stalls offering traditional dishes and refreshments. Organisers said the event reflected the spirit of unity in Sanskardhani, bringing together people from different communities, professions and age groups in a shared celebration of harmony.
