The District Health Department team is continuously conducting survey of the jaundice affected area in Ward-67, Sector 7 West, Street 37A, Bhilai Nagar. During the survey In Sector-07, Street-37A, Bhilai, blood samples were collected from patients exhibiting symptoms indicative of jaundice infection on Tuesday.
According to information received from the CMHO, Dr Dani, one new patient suffering from jaundice was identified in the affected area on Tuesday. Thus, as of today’s (Tuesday) date, a total of 37 jaundice patients have been detected in the aforementioned infected zone. Of these, one previously identified patient has been discharged. Consequently, three patients are currently undergoing treatment at the Shri Shankaracharya Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhilai, and one patient is being treated at Pulse Hospital, Bhilai-1.
The situation is currently under control.
As per information in Sector 7, Street 37, Bhilai, the Health Department conducted a survey covering 80 households within the jaundice-affected areas on Tuesday. Water supply to the area is being provided by BMC, and the existing pipelines are currently being replaced. Representatives from BSP Bhilai were present, alongside DistrictSurveillance Nodal Officer Dr. CBS Banjare; Dr. Piyam Singh, In-charge of Lal Bahadur Shastri Civil Hospital, Supela Bhilai; Block Training Officers Hitendra Kosre (Bhilai) and Rajendra Dahare (Risali); and Supervisors Vijay Sejule, Rohit Mandle, Pankaj Rathore, Pankaj Sinha, Prince Piyush Tandon, Rama Shankar Yadav, and Anil Dhimar. A Mobile Medical Unit was stationed in the area to conduct examinations and provide treatment to patients. Samples were collected from 13 suspected cases. One new patient was identified and advised to undergo admission. One patient was discharged.
