IN THE prestigious bridge tournament organised by VBA in memory of HA Mulla, Retd Executive and City Engineer, Akola, Team Mohota led by B Mohota, S Chhajed, S Roy and Anilkumar Mohota emerged champions. Gondwana finished runners-up. Their team included S Rai, A Daga, M Diwan and H Bhave. Team Axis finished third. Their team consisted of S Patni, P Kar and Mulla brothers Sajid and Ali. More than 70 bridge players from Vidarbha region participated in three different events.

 

In IMP pairs event, M Mor and M Dutta clinched top honours. D Tikkas and U Puppalwar finished runners-up. In MP pairs event, Mulla brothers emerged victorious. V Puranik and M Luley took second position. Anilkumar Mohota and Amit Rewatkar were the tournament directors for this brain game. Attractive cash prizes were awarded to winners and runners-up in both the events.
