R SANJAY came out with a fine all-round show as Gondia defeated Wardha by five wickets in the Inter-District T20 Championship that got underway at various grounds on Sunday. At VCA’s Kalamna Ground, Wardha posted 172-7 in 20 overs with Varun Bisht making 36. Kunal Nagar and Kumail Ajani contributed an identical 24. Adhyayan Daga (4-33) and Sanjay (2-6) were among the wickets. With the willow, Sanjay made 89 while Kush Khandelwal contributed 56 as Gondia reached 174-5 in 17.3 overs. At the outset, fourth edition of the VCA Inter-District T20 Tournament was inaugurated by VCA Secretary Sanjay Badkas at the VCA Civil Lines Stadium before the first between Akola and Yavatmal was played.
