Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) held a meeting, on Friday to review preparations for party’s Foundation Day on April 6 and the fortnight-long programmes planned on the occasion. During the meeting, party leaders outlined the schedule of events and assigned responsibilities to workers. Addressing the meeting, City President Ratnesh Sonkar said that programmes will be organised from the district office to booth level, where party workers will perform flag hoisting and mark the occasion. He urged party workers to participate and share photographs of the celebrations on social media. He also stressed that primary members should be specially invited to booth-level events, as per the directions of the state leadership.

 

Sonkar informed that Sakreey Sadasya Sammelan (active members’ conference) will be held at Manas Bhawan in Jabalpur on April 8, in which Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav is expected to address party workers. The conference will have three sessions, where discussions will be held on different subjects and party leaders will provide guidance to workers ahead of ensuing organisational activities. He added that a series of programmes will also be organised at the Mandal level from April 7 to 12 as part of Foundation Day celebrations. Newly appointed party office bearers were felicitated by the district unit. Those honoured were State Co-media In-charge Shrikant Sahu, State Spokesperson Vani Ahluwalia, OBC Morcha State Vice-President Sanjay Yadav and SC Morcha State General Secretary Krishna Chaudhary.
