Deepak Kumar Gupta, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of the South East Central Railway (SECR), Nagpur Division, conducted a comprehensive safety inspection of the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Itwari–Mandla Fort rail section on Saturday. The inspection was aimed at evaluating railway safety, operational efficiency, and overall passenger amenities.
As per the scheduled programme, the DRM departed from Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Itwari Station in a special inspection coach.
During the transit, a detailed observation was carried out regarding the railway track, signaling and telecommunications systems, electrical infrastructure, and station premises. Safety protocols were scrutinised closely, and necessary directives were issued to the concerned officers and staff on the spot.
Upon reaching Mandla Fort Station, the DRM inspected the station’s passenger facilities, cleanliness standards, and security management.
Key areas of focus included platform maintenance and lighting; waiting rooms and drinking water facilities; sanitation of toilets and passenger information systems; and overall cleanliness of the station premises.
Inb addition, a security review was conducted with officials from the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and other departments to ensure a secure and enhanced travel experience for commuters. Dilip Singh, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager; Senior Divisional Safety Officer and others were also present.
