N OUR fast-paced, demanding lives, it is easy to
lose ourselves to the grind. We spend so much
time meeting expectations, caring about what others would think, adjusting to their preferences and
chasing approval that we forget to check in with the
one person who matters most, ourselves.
More often than not, we e overlook our own emotions, our needs and push aside our well-being as if
it can wait. And in that quiet neglect, self-doubt
begins to grow. It’s completely human to feel affected by other people’s opinions.
We all want to be seen, valued and accepted. But
somewhere along the way, we start measuring our
worth through someone else’s lens. A single negative comment, a dismissive glance or a difference in
perspective can make us question everything. That’s
when the dangerous thought creeps in: “Maybe I am
not doing enough. Maybe I am not enough”.
But that thought isn’t the truth. The truth is, you
have already come thus far. Every struggle you faced,
every setback you pushed through, every small step
you took matters.
And what about people having opinions about
you? It often means you are on the right path. Growth
is visible. Courage is visible. And not everyone knows
how to respond to that except with criticism.
People will always have something to say.
They will
question your choices, misunderstand your intentions, and sometimes project their own fears onto
your path. But your life isn’t theirs to live. Their
approval isn’t your destination. If your heart is telling
you to move forward, listen to it.There is a quiet wisdom within you that doesn’t need validation. It’s
about giving yourself permission to grow at your own
pace, to make mistakes, to change your mind, and
to evolve without guilt. So take a moment’s pause,
breathe and reconnect with yourself. You are not behind; you are not failing;
you are not a loser; you are getting there.
And that, in itself, is something incredibly powerful.
