A man lost his life and four injured when three speeding motorcycles collided in Medhi Jhamar village under the jurisdiction of Patan police station, on Monday. The deceased has been identified as Rajesh Gond, while Ajay Kumar, a resident of Magarmuha village along with his wife Kiran and daughter, Mehak were injured. Condition of two of the injured is reported to be critical undergoing treatment at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College and Hospital. According to Patan police, Ajay Kumar, a resident of Magarmuha village, was travelling towards Majholi on a motorcycle along with his wife Kiran and daughter Mahak when the accident occurred. Near Patan, the handle of Ajay Kumar’s motorcycle reportedly collided with another bike, causing the family to fall on the roadside.
 
Meanwhile , a third motorcycle coming from behind also rammed into a bike approaching from the opposite direction, leading to a major collision involving all three motorcycles. SHO, Patan, Gopendra Singh Rajput informed that all three motorcycles were moving at high speed, which was the primary reason behind the accident. During the crash, Rajesh Gond fell head-first onto the road and died on the spot due to severe head injuries. With the help of Dial 108 ambulance service, all the injured were rushed to Patan Hospital, from where the critically injured victims were referred to the Medical College for advanced treatment. Police have informed the family members of the deceased and initiated further investigation into the matter.
