MIA hosts World Banks B-Ready session

MIDC Industries Association (MIA), Hingna, in collaboration with the Directorate of Industries, Nagpur Region and Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Government of India, successfully organised a workshop on the World Bank’s B-Ready Assessment (Pillar-III: Firm Level Surveys) at MIA Hall. The initiative is part of the World Bank’s revamped framework aimed at strengthening the ease of doing business.
 
The programme commenced with the welcome of all dignitaries on stage. Representatives from the World Bank Group, government officials, and members of MIDC Industries Association were warmly received. Dr Jivisha Joshi, Deputy Secretary, DPIIT, introduced the B-READY (Business Ready) Framework and outlined its key objectives, including conducting industry-level surveys, understanding region-specific business conditions, and creating awareness about the World Bank’s assessment methodology and questionnaire.
 
P Mohan, President of MIDC Industries Association, briefed the gathering on the role and initiatives of the association. Held under the guidance of Shivkumar S Muddamwar, Joint Director of Industries , the workshop emphasized the importance of industry participation in providing real-time insights to support policy reforms. Following the introduction, dignitaries including Abhishek Tripathi, Joint Commissioner of Income Tax; Katyayani Bhatia, Deputy Commissioner; Jamiruddin Ansari, Director (PMU); and Yash Panikar, DDG, BSNL. shared their perspectives on industrial growth and ease of doing business. Focused sessions on Utility Services and Taxation saw active engagement from participants.
