The MIDC Industries Association (MIA) in association with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), recently conducted an awareness programme on BIS Product Certification at MIA House, Hingna Industrial Area. On the occasion, officials from BIS, Nagpur Branch Office, provided detailed guidance on the process of obtaining BIS certification, including application procedures, documentation requirements, product testing protocols, and grant of license. Participants were also informed about the various advantages of certification, such as enhanced market credibility, increased consumer confidence, and improved regulatory compliance.

 

The programme concluded with an interactive discussion session, where participants actively clarified their queries related to certification procedures and compliance requirements. Actively participating from MIDC Industries Association were P Mohan, President, along with Arun Lanjewar, Ganesh Jaiswal, Pravin Palkar, and Charan Singh. The programme provided valuable insights for industries aiming to strengthen quality standards, improve compliance practices, and enhance market competitiveness.
