The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders and workers in Sanskardhani celebrated the party’s historic victory in West Bengal, Assam and Puducherry Assembly elections in a simple and subdued manner at the party office in Ranital. The muted celebrations were held out of respect for the victims of the recent Bargi cruise tragedy, in which 13 people lost their lives. Workers distributed jhal muri among public, exchanged greetings and expressed gratitude to the public for reposing faith in the party. A two-minute silence was observed at the BJP office to pay tribute to those who died in the Bargi accident. Speaking on the occasion BJP District President Ratnesh Sonkar said the historic victory in three states, particularly in West Bengal, is a clear message from the people that democracy is supreme. He said the public had rejected Mamata Banerjee's authoritarian rule and given a mandate for a double-engine government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Mayor, Jagat Bahadur Singh said West Bengal had suffered badly under the previous government, with women facing atrocities and ordinary citizens living in fear. He said the people had now crushed that arrogance and handed power to BJP. He added that from Gangotri to Gangasagar, BJP's presence is now firmly established and thanked the people of the country for their trust.

PWD MINISTER RAKESH SINGH: In his message Public Works Minister Rakesh Singh extended warm congratulations to the Party workers and general public on the historic victory of BJP the assembly elections of West Bengal, Assam and Puducherry. Expressing his joy, Minister Singh said the BJP’s win in these three states carries deep significance. “From Gangotri to Gangasagar, the ideological flow of BJP will now move uninterrupted and the lotus will bloom permanently.” He said that this victory would accelerate development and strengthen the nation”s borders. Referring specifically to West Bengal, Singh said the people of the state had long suffered under anarchy, lawlessness and corruption and this election result has finally freed them from that situation. He expressed confidence that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, West Bengal would now move rapidly on the path of development and good governance. Minister Singh also congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi, National President Nitin Navin, BJP workers across all three states and expressed deep gratitude to the voters for placing their trust in the party.
