The personnel of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) were awarded certificated for postgraduate diploma in Disaster Respose and Rescue course offered by Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU), at a programme held in New Delhi on May 2. The programme was jointly organised by NDRF and National Institute of Disaster Management (NDIM) under the Union Ministry of Home Affairs. The certificates were presented by Krishna Vatsa, Member, National Disaster Management Authority (MDMA). Dr Manali Kshirsagar, Vice-Chancellor, RTMNU were also prominently present for the programme.

 

Senior officials including Anuj Sharma, Manish Bhardwaj, Dinesh Kumar Oswal, Piyush Anand (IPS), and Sunil Kumar Jha attended the event. The initiative, led by RTMNU’s Department of Lifelong Learning and Extension, received appreciation from NDRF headquarters. Speakers emphasised the importance of skill development, training, and academic recognition in strengthening disaster management systems. The collaboration marks a significant academic milestone and reinforces institutional commitment to national resilience.
