A total of 149.47 kilograms of seized ganja was destroyed as part of a disposal drive conducted under the provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, in the presence of senior police officials. The destruction was carried out following directives issued by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), New Delhi and State Narcotics Headquarters, Bhopal. Acting on these instructions, Deputy Inspector General, Jabalpur Range, Atul Singh, ordered the disposal of seized narcotic substances in accordance with legal procedures under the NDPS Act.
 
Under the supervision of Superintendent of Police Sampat Upadhyay, all necessary legal formalities, including verification and weighing of the seized contraband from various police stations across Jabalpur district, were completed before the destruction process. The disposal operation was done at ACC Cement Factory in Kymore, Katni district, in the presence of DIG Atul Singh, SP Sampat Upadhyay and Additional SP (Headquarters) Suryakant Sharma. During the operation, 149.47 kilograms of ganja seized in 21 cases registered under the NDPS Act across Jabalpur district were destroyed in accordance with prescribed legal procedures.
