The search for the five missing members of the Parswani family took an important turn on Monday after an ATM transaction linked to one of their bank accounts was traced to Pimpri-Chinchwad near Pune. Acting on the lead, the Dhantoli police have sent a special team to Pune to continue the investigation. The missing family members have been identified as Harsha Suresh Parswani (57), Jitendra Suresh Parswani (42), Ishita Jitendra Parswani (40), Khushi Jitendra Parswani (21), and Krishna Jitendra Parswani (12), all residents of Durga Sadan on Balraj Marg in Nagpur. According to police, all five left their residence on the evening of June 24 and have not returned since. A missing persons case was registered by Dhantoli police after their family members and relatives failed to establish contact with them.

During the investigation, police traced the last known location of one of the missing persons’ mobile phones to Pune. However, the phone was switched off soon afterwards, leaving investigators with no further clues. On Monday, police received fresh information that an ATM card belonging to one of the missing family members had been used to withdraw money from an ATM in Pimpri-Chinchwad.

The Dhantoli police immediately contacted the local police and rushed a team to Pune to verify the development. Police said it was not immediately known whether the cash was withdrawn by one of the missing family members or by someone else using the card. Investigators will examine CCTV footage from the ATM with the help of the Pimpri-Chinchwad police to identify the person who carried out the transaction. According to the preliminary investigation, the Parswani family had allegedly been under severe financial stress due to mounting debts before they went missing. Police are exploring all possible angles while continuing efforts to trace the family.
